Dave Martino

Our founder, Dave Martino, brings a wealth of experience from his former role as a Novi city police officer. With a remarkable tenure of over 25 years in conducting road tests, Dave’s commitment to road safety and quality testing is the cornerstone of our operations.

Don Stimmel

Don has lived in the area his entire life and brings over 24 years of experience as a driver examiner. Originally from Garden City, Michigan, he enjoys traveling and working out in his free time. Before becoming an examiner, Don built a diverse career in sales, management, finance, and truck driving, which gave him a strong foundation in working with people from all walks of life. He finds the most rewarding part of his job to be interacting with people and helping them achieve their goals. Don’s favorite part of the role is meeting individuals from many different cultures and hearing their unique stories. His best advice to students is simple: practice, practice, practice—and read the book! Don values focus, goal setting, and enjoys the flexibility and supportive team environment at Quality Driver Testing.

Bradley House

Bradley has lived in the area for over 66 years and brings more than 12 years of examiner experience to Quality Driver Testing. Before becoming an examiner, he spent 18 years as a driver education instructor and also worked as a certified master mechanic for Ford Motor Company and a journeyman toolmaker. His diverse background gives him a deep understanding of both vehicles and driver safety. Outside of work, Bradley enjoys boating, fishing, camping, and restoring classic cars. He’s known for his calm, supportive approach that helps nervous students relax and succeed—his favorite memory is helping a student who was in tears before her test regain her confidence and pass with flying colors. Bradley believes that knowledge is something nobody can take from you and reminds all his students to relax, take their time, and do their best.

Joe Hayes

Joe has lived in the area for over 40 years and brings 24 years of experience as a driver examiner. Originally from northern Michigan, Joe graduated from Petoskey High School before beginning a long and successful career with the Michigan Secretary of State, where he retired as a branch manager. Outside of work, he enjoys reading—especially science fiction—and computer gaming. Joe also has a unique passion for music and even created techno tracks that were played by world-famous DJs in the 1980s. He finds it most rewarding to see applicants improve their driving skills and gain confidence through the testing process. Joe encourages every student to study the road skills test study guide and to never give up. He enjoys the friendly work environment at Quality Driver Testing and the opportunity to work alongside a great team.

Mark Boody

Mark has lived in the area for nearly three decades and brings over a year of experience as a driver examiner. Originally from St. Louis, Michigan, he enjoys working out, taking vacations, camping, and spending time on DIY projects—especially restoring his Model A. Before becoming an examiner, Mark built a diverse professional background in teaching, presenting, and law enforcement. He finds it most rewarding to see the excitement on someone’s face when they pass their road test and reach that major milestone. Mark’s favorite memory is when a student was so overjoyed after passing that they cried—a reminder of how meaningful these moments can be. His advice to new drivers is simple but powerful: Relax, breathe, and don’t let your nerves control you.

Brandon Janusz

Brandon has lived in the area for 15 years and joined Quality Driver Testing after spending over a decade in the automotive industry as a quality consultant and engineer. He enjoys being able to positively contribute to the driving journey of new applicants and finds it rewarding to help them grow in confidence behind the wheel. Outside of work, Brandon loves to travel, work out, attend live shows, and spend time with animals. He’s also a professional fire performer and hula hoop artist with 12 years of experience! Brandon encourages students to relax and not be too hard on themselves—reminding them that the road test is just one step in their driving journey. His favorite part of working at Quality Driver Testing is connecting with people from all over the state and being part of such an outstanding team.
